Basic Technique

Transparent Outliner
 |
This technique can look very impressive, but in fact it is very simple to achieve. It is a very similar course to 'basic'. The panel can be made into a cushion, or just simply framed.

Layer on Layer/False Batik
 |
Using transparent outliner and layer upon layer of paint, with the option of a final layer of wax produces a false batik. Ideal for machine or hand embroidery.

Paint and Quilt in a Day
 |
No outliner needed, let the brush do the work. You can either use free machine embroidery or hand quilt.

No Outliner Just Inhibitor
 |
Take courage and you will amaze yourself! A freely painted silk which is then quilted with free machine embroidery/hand embroidery. Other fabrics, such as net, sheer fabrics, plus fancy embroidery threads are added to create a truly original piece.

A hilarious day producing scarves using a variety of techniques. Scarves can be bought from Jenni on the day. Don't forget the flowerpot!!

Greeting Cards

Hand paint silk cards for friends and special occasions.

Etch your own silk velvet, paint and hand/machine embroider. Embellish with beads.

Transfer Paints/Crayons

Experiment with paints and crayons to transfer designs onto both natural and synthetic material to produce a truly original piece. Add machine/hand embroidery. |

Information on all Silk Painting Courses
- For groups of 8 or more the fee is £20 per head plus travelling expenses.
- Devore courses are £25 per head due to the cost of silk velvet.
- Jenni can travel to you to teach small groups if you wish.
